Many visitors who are planning to arrive by car in Split are curious about the parking availability and the prices in the centre of the town and other city areas.
The good news is that parking in Split is not as expensive as in other popular places like Trogir or Brela, which keep pretty high prices, especially during the summer months.

Split beaches parking

Beach Znjan provides a large free parking area, and that's why it is the top choice for all visitors who come to Split by car.
Even during the high summer season, it is usually easy to find a free spot for your vehicle on Znjan.

Beaches Obojena Svjetlost and Kasjuni, located at the foot of Marjan Hill, provide a free parking spots as well. However, during the summer season, those beaches usually become crowded, and you may need to wait until there is an available parking place.

Beach Bacvice features a parking area as well, but it is not free. The price during the summer season is 0,80 euros per hour.
The same price is valid for the parking places around beach Firule, which is located only 500 meters away from Bacvice.

Beach Bene is not accessible by car, since it is located in the forest park marked as a car-free zone. That's why you need to take a local bus number 12 to reach this beach.

Visitors who want to go for a day trip to some of the nearby islands(Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula) are curious about where to leave their car while on excursion.

Unfortunately, there are no parking places around the Split ferry port. You may leave your car on Bacvice Beach, which is located approximately 500 meters away from the port. The parking price for the whole day is 10 euros, which is not considered expensive.
The alternative option is to leave your car in the parking area around the beach Firule, located 1 kilometre away from the port. The parking price is 10 euros as well.

Just as expected, Split Riva is the place with the most expensive parking in the town.
The price for the first hour during the summer season (May - September) is 4 euros. The price for every following hour is 5 euros.
That's why parking on Riva is not a suitable option for many people's budgets.
You may want to leave your car a few hundred meters away, and then take a short walk to reach Split Riva.
