Split old town in September 2022

While walking through the old town, you will notice there are still many visitors. Everyone is fascinated by Diocletian's Palace and it's Peristyle square, which is one of the most authentic spots from ancient Roman times.

Split Riva is another popular venue in September; people enjoy walking near the sea or having a favourite drink in one of the bars nearby.

You can explore the old town by yourself, or take an organised tour with a guide who will explain to you all the details about the history of this fascinating place.

September is usually still warm enough for swimming, with sea temperature being above 20 degrees Celsius. Beaches like Kasjuni, Bacvice and Obojena Svjetlost are especially beautiful these days: there are fewer crowds and early autumn will provide charming sunset colours.

All excursions are fully operational in September 2022. The one most loved by visitors is the island hopping tour with a visit to the fascinating Blue Cave on Bisevo island.

Trogir and Sibenik are two UNESCO charming towns worth visiting. Especially featured are Sibenik fortresses and Trogir's Cathedral, a gothic masterpiece of art.

Klis fortress and ruins of ancient Salona are other destinations worth visiting. Except for being an architectural masterpiece, the Klis fortress is a Game of Thrones location.

Adventure lovers will enjoy Omis and its adrenaline activities: zipline, kayaking and rafting.
