After visiting Makarska, Baska Voda and Brela, it was time for me to visit the last pearl of Makarska Riviera, Tucepi. Just like the other places of the Makarska Riviera, Tucepi has become the attractive Croatian tourist destination.
I went there for a visit on June 13, 2019.

How did I arrive in Tucepi
The easiest way to approach Tucepi is by car or bus. I went there by car from Split. The ride took an hour and a half and it was comfortable. There were not many cars on the road. Low traffic is a big advantage of Croatia tourism during June.
I left my car in the centre of the village. It was easy to find parking spot. The price for parking was around 1.4 euros (10 kunas) per hour, which is significantly cheaper compared to the parking prices in Brela and Baska Voda (2.5 euros). Generally speaking, Tucepi is more affordable than other destinations of Makarska Riviera, which makes the place even more appealing.
My impressions of Tucepi
Immediately after getting out of my car in Tucepi, I started feeling relaxed. The sea and the coast had a soothing effect on me. I could feel I was in a lovely place. That's the same atmosphere I felt in other destinations on Makarska Riviera.
When I looked around myself, I could see people were having a great time. Some of them were enjoying the early evening walk, while others were still on the beach, or in some of the many coffee bars and restaurants. Everyone was enjoying their vacation to the fullest.
Restaurants in Tucepi
When I arrived in the village, I was already hungry, so one of the first things for me was to find a nice restaurant with an affordable pizza price. After a few minutes of walking, I chose a restaurant near the sea, called Mala Barka. The pizza was really good, but what is more important, the atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic. I enjoyed the view of the sea. The soothing sound of the sea made it really perfect.
The pizza and coffee cost me 7.5 euros, which is pretty much an affordable price. If you don't want pizza, you can taste some of Meditteranean's specialities like fish fillet (11 euros), octopus salad (9 euros), or any other restaurant's speciality.
Tucepi beaches
Tucepi is a place with one of the biggest beach complexes in Croatia. The coast is more than 3 kilometres long, and it features many pebble beaches. It could be said that the whole Tucepi coast is one big beach. Just above the beaches, there are coffee bars, ice cream shops and restaurants. Some of them feature really nice design.
Evening in Tucepi
Tucepi organises live concerts a few times a week during the summer season. The concerts usually start at 21.30 pm. I was lucky because, at the time of my visit, there was a concert featuring Neno Belan, one of the most famous Croatian musicians and songwriters. I really like his music.
You can check the list of events on Tucepi's tourist board website.
Conclusion of my visit
Just like the other destinations of Makarska Riviera, Tucepi is a great spot to spend holidays. It features all the necessary facilities expected from big destinations. Furthermore, it is more affordable than other villages in Riviera. If you are looking for a calm and soothing place with great beaches and the coast, then I believe you will have a great time there.
