After weeks of negotiation, it's now official: Ultra Europe Festival is moving from Poljud to Park Mladeži Stadium. This is an agreement reached by the leaders of the city of Split, Hajduk and the festival.
The decision was made only two weeks before the start of the festival. The main reason for the transfer was the complaint of the football club Hajduk which was dissatisfied with the lawn condition after the festival. Hajduk demanded a change of the entire lawn, which probably seemed expensive to festival leaders. Furthermore, Hajduk is playing qualification for the UEFA Europa League only a few days after the festival.
New location of the festival
Park Mladeži is another stadium in Split located in a district called Brodarica (address: Ul. Hrvatske Mornarice 10, 21000, Split).
Check location on Google Maps. Distance between the old and new location of the festival is less than 1 kilometre. So if you booked your accommodation near Poljud for the shake of festival location, it will still be okay for you.
The new location of the festival doesn't mean really much for visitors of the festival. You can expect stronger security measures because the festival is now located in a more urban environment. The festival's program will not change due to the new location.
