If you decide to go for a day trip to Trogir, you should not miss visiting the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, a monumental Romanesque building located near the main city square.

Trogir Cathedral attractions

The most impressive part of the Cathedral is the entrance door (portal), built by an artist who is named in the literature as Radovan in the 11th century. The portal features sculptures which depict various events from Christ's life.
It's worth spending at least 20 minutes observing the various details of this masterpiece of art.

The next interesting point of visitor interest is the Cathedral's interior. You will find interesting works of art from all periods. Although the cathedral is built in the Romanesque style, most of the paintings originate from later periods.

The Cathedral's treasury features jewellery, ancient books, and other historical stuff relevant to the Cathedral's history.

The last point to visit is the Cathedral's bell tower. It will take a bit of climbing effort to reach the top of the tower, but it is worth the effort since you will have a nice panoramic view of Trogir and Ciovo island.
