Povljana location

Povljana is located in the southwest part of the island of Pag. It's one of the first settlements that can be accessed after crossing the Pag bridge.
The place is easily reached by car since the roads on the island are of good quality.

As soon as you arrive in Povljana, you will notice it is a small charming coastal village. There is no active nightlife or any unnecessary noise in the place. For that purpose, you should go to the other places on the island, like Novalja or Pag Town.
Even during the peak summer season, the beaches in the settlement are not crowded. Povljana can provide you with an intimate vacation where you can enjoy in the sun, sea, and swimming.
The coast in Povljana consists of pebble beaches that alternate with natural rocky beaches.

In the centre of the place, there is a church of St. George, which was built in 17th century. Today it is a parish church of Povljana.

If you decide to stay in Povljana, I recommend visiting other places on Pag island. Especially featured is Pag Town which has been the central place of the island. There are many Medieval monuments preserved in the centre of the town.
Another top destination is Novalja, located 30 kilometres away from the place. Novalja is known to be one of the most famous nightlife and beach destinations in Europe.

Pag island has been known for its cheese; "Paški sir" is famous for its quality all over the world. It is produced in a cheese factory located in the town of Pag. There is a cheese shop as well there, so I definitely recommend tasting.

Another attraction is lamb meat; Pag is known to have the highest quality lamb meat in Croatia. You can taste it in any of Pag's restaurants.

In recent years, Pag has been branded as a destination for sports and cycling. There are thousands of kilometres of bike trails of all levels of difficulty.

Bring your bikes to Povljana and enjoy its nature while cycling.
