How did I arrive in Brela
I went there by car from Split. I used local road D8. The trip was pleasant, just as expected when driving on this road with many beautiful sights. Fortunately for me, there was no high traffic while I was driving.
I left my car a few hundred meters away from the centre of the place. The parking price was 2.5 euros/hour.
My impressions of Brela
I loved Brela at first sight. I can say this place is unique among other Croatian tourist destinations. The uniqueness of Brela lies in its calmness. I can't think of the place where I could feel that people are so relaxed. I had a feeling like there is no clock, no obligations, no stress. I wonder if people feel that way in paradise. There was no disturbing sounds, no hurry, just a simple beauty of the relationship between nature and man.
The main reason for my fascination with Brela is the natural beauty of this place. Brela features more than 7 kilometres of the beautiful coast. Just near the coast there many trees which contribute to the soothing atmosphere and beauty of the place.
The next reason was the lack of cars and the crowd. Most of the coast is not accessible by car, which is actually great because people don't have to hassle with cars why enjoying their walks.
Beaches in Brela
Brela features two famous beaches, which are among the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. These are: Punta Rata and Podrače.
I can say that the only beach which impressed me more than Punta Rata is the beach Zlatni Rat on Brac.
Especially interesting is the so-called Brela's stone, a rock which emerged from the sea.
Brela is a true pearl of Croatia tourism. It is kind of a place I can recommend to all generations, young and older. The peacefulness and the natural beauty of this place will hardly leave anyone unimpressed. No matter if you arrive here with your girlfriend, family, kids or friends, you will enjoy Brela. I recommend visiting in June or September when it is even more intimate and beautiful.
