As of October 29, Croatia registered 2776 new cases of COVID-19 disease, which is the highest number since the start of the pandemic.
As the number of hospitalized people is increasing alongside with the number of infected, the Croatian government fears it will have to introduce another lockdown, which may be disastrous for the economy, as many experts say. That's why the minister of Health Vili Beros and prime minister Andrej Plenković urged people to respect the measures introduced by Croatian COVID team.
The main measure is the obligation to wear masks in all enclosed spaces including shops, offices, supermarkets etc.
Employers are advised to organize work from home whenever possible.
All bars and restaurants are open and can work up to midnight.
In Croatia, schools are still open as well, and the government has announced that it will do everything to keep it that way.
