Split ferry port is the biggest in the country and an important point for all passengers who plan to travel to the islands of mid and south Croatia.
Every year hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors pass through the port to arrive at the pearls of Adriatic costs like Brac, Hvar, and Vis.

Split ferry port location

The port is located near the Split town centre and only a few minutes walk from Diocletian's Palace.
The main bus station is located in the same area. There are no additional transportation fees for visitors who come to Split by bus to and continue their journey on an island via ferry.

Bacvice beach is another famous facility located only 200 meters away from the port.

As you can see from the map, Split ferry port is spread over a large area, and it's not always straightforward to find your ferry.
That's why I recommend arriving at the port at least half an hour before the departure so that you can comfortably find your ferry or catamaran.
Most ferry and catamaran lines are operated by Jadrolinija, the main ferry company in Croatia. Others are operated by a company called Krilo.

You can check the ferry lines schedule on Jadrolinija's website.
Tickets can be bought through their website, or on the spot. In the case of bad weather, make sure that your line is actually departing, since some of the lines are cancelled due to strong wind.
During the summer season, Jadrolinija introduces additional lines, especially those which depart to famous tourist spots like Brac and Hvar.
The prices are a bit higher as well.

The busiest ferry line is the one departing to Supetar, a beautiful town located on Brac island. The ferry usually departs from St Duje's pier (check on your ticket).
Ferry lines to Vela Luka (Korcula) and Rogac (Solta) usually depart from the same pier.

The ferry line to Stari Grad on Hvar island departs from St. Peter's pier, located opposite the main bus station.

The coffee bar Adria is located just near the port. It's a perfect place to take a coffee while waiting for your departure.
There is a luggage storage service near the port. The price for bag storage is around 4 euros per day.
Ribola supermarket is a place where you can do your groceries before reaching the ferry.
Multiple Jadrolinija ticket shops are located at the port. The ferry ticket is usually valid for all departures to a chosen destination that day.
If you are taking your car to the island, make sure to come to the port earlier. During the summer season, it often happens that the ferry area reserved for cars gets full, and it is necessary to wait for the next departure.

Tourist agency offices on the port offer services of renting a car, excursions and airport transfers.
